Hangry Joe's was born in 2018 when founder Joe Williams — a self-described "heat junkie" and lifelong North Carolina native — returned from a life-changing trip to Nashville with one burning question: why doesn't High Point have hot chicken like this?

After months of recipe testing, spice blending, and more than a few blistered taste buds, Hangry Joe's opened its doors on N Main St with a simple promise — real heat, real flavor, real fast. The line on opening day wrapped around the block.
